Soviet and contemporary urban environment in Samara has simple forms and textures. In my project I decided to create more complex forms putting some pictures together into diptychs. The diptychs created their own reality at the visual level due to new compositional forms and at the semantic level due to new relationships between objects. As a result Samara appeared to be a more complex city with unobvious relationships between its parts.
